Car Penguin: Head Unit Launcher

Got Android on your Car? Car Penguin brings what matter for your driving journey to the surface. Make it your default head unit launcher and enjoy your trips. With convenient interface the application serve driver’s needs including maps and navigation, media/music player, phone calls, contacts and more. Car Penguin supports multi-languages, multi-themes and bidirectional layout. The application has been inspired by the Porsche Panamera head unit systems and offer the professional experience to Android platforms.

Feature’s summary

Dashboard with Essential Fixtures
The dashboard has been designed to gain fast access to essential fixtures such as Media, Calendar Events, System Volume, Voice Search and Google Assistant if found.

Important: Each page in the application has its’ own option menu. While page is open, press the menu icon (hamburger icon) to display its options.

Map Locations and Traffic Highlights
Google maps displaying current locations, current addresses and traffic with ability to configure maps with multi-themes and layouts. Page for displaying statistical information and another page for logging your trips.

Speedometer, Distance and Time Counters
Measure speed, distance and time and reset counters to control your trips.

Built-in Media Player
Car Penguin uses its own media player including media control for local audio files, album lists and separate page for other predefined apps shortcuts.

Smartphone Integration
Displaying contacts/favorites lists of saved numbers to dial either using the system default dialer, or transfer the phone calls over Bluetooth to your cell phone. Transferring calls over Bluetooth, syncing call log and SMS require Car Penguin Server (free app: http://carpenguin.com) to be installed on your cell phone.

Notification and Speed Warning
Car Penguin app send messages and notifications for important finding and events. In case you download the server on your cell phone, recent calls and messages will be transferred to your head unit through the notification center. Also set your speed limit warning from the notification options menu.

Car Graphic/Photo and Device Info
You may love your vehicle as if it one of your dearest friend! If so, then you may want to upload your car’s photo and display it on your launcher along with other device information.

Weather Information
Detecting weather temperature (uses Internet connection) including other data such as wind speed, humidity, sunrise/sunset … etc.

App Browsing and Shortcuts
List of installed apps and basic application shortcuts. Setting up shortcuts is easy, long click on the app icon to select your choice and another long click will remove the predefined shortcut
