Create a Gardenize account and gather photos and notes about your plants in one place. Keep track of where they grow and the things you do to make them thrive. All in one place. Gardenize helps with structure and organization so that your info is easy to find and always close at hand. You also get easy access to a continuously updated news feed full of inspiration and knowledge. In Gardenize 2.0 we give you the opportunity to visit your friends’ and public gardens in the blink of an eye!
This is what you get:
• Never forget the names of your plants or how to care for them.
• Total control of which plant is growing where. Perfect for keeping track of crop rotation.
• Possibility to draw on your photos to mark out where you planted or seeded, or make a plan for the future, complete with the choice of plants.
• Easy to find your plant and garden photos. Take photos at different occasions to follow plants and areas over seasons and years.
• Learn from your own work by taking notes and evaluating results with images.
• Easy access to inspiration and knowledge.
• Find and follow friends and public gardens
• Invite friends to follow you.
• Editable profile to present your garden, allotment, balcony, indoor planting or wherever you grow things.
We have organized Gardenize in 5 major blocks. The first three we call MY GARDEN.
MY PLANTS
Use the mobile camera to take pictures of plants in your garden or your home. You can take as many pictures as you want, e.g. from different seasons. Or take the opportunity to document plant development, from the time you plant a seed to a full-grown plant and maybe harvest. Write notes such as scientific name, seeding time, height etc. You can also note in what area the plant is growing.
MY GARDEN AREAS
Take photos of your flower beds, raised beds, greenhouse, balcony or indoor and give them a suitable name. Note the size of the area, how much light the area gets and what kind of soil it is. A free text field is available for your special notes.
MY EVENTS
Start keeping track of what you do and when by using the diary. Pick one of the standard activity types or create one that suits your needs. Choose from your list of plants and garden areas and snap one or more pictures to create fully searchable notes as "Watered Roses in Flowerbed by the kitchen". Add complementary notes in free text field and notes about time and amount.
The last two parts we give you for fun and inspiration.
MY GARDEN FRIENDS
Find and follow friends’ and public gardens all around the globe. Create a smashing profile for yourself and get followers that can be inspired by your work. Choose if you want your account to be public or private. With a private account, you approve your followers.
INSPIRATION
Skim through the feed and read, hear and watch what lies in our sphere of interest. Save what you like most so that you can find it later.
Paid feature: Export and download
All your photo you get them in a zipfile, with name and date.
All your data in a spreadsheet.
All your garden information in a pdf. You get a nice handout to garden visitors who don't use smart phones.
You pay for 10, 20 or 30 exports. And each exports can include all your photos as a zip, all your data in a spreadsheet or all your garden info in a pdf.
