Mahmoud Ali Banna is the reader of the Egyptian Quran. Born December 17, 1926 in the village of Sheberbes, Shebin El Koum, Menoufia governorate in northern Egypt.

Mahmoud Ali Al-Banna studied the Holy Quran in the Koranic school of Sheikh Musa Al-Muntash village

He then moved to the city of Tanta, where he studied the legal sciences (forensic sciences) to the Ahmadi Mosque and learned readings from Imam Ibrahim ibn Salam al-Maliki.

In 1945, Sheikh Mahmoud Ali al-Banna moved to Cairo where he began studying music and the shrines of Sheikh Darwish Hariri.
In 1947, he became a reader of the Muslim Youth League and opened all the Assembly celebrations.
A year later, many celebrities present at a meeting of the Assembly such as Maher Pasha, Prince Abdul Karim Al-Khattabi ... asked him to join the Egyptian radio.

In 1948, Sheikh Al-Banna joined the Egyptian radio and his first live recital was released in December of the same year. A few years later he became one of the most famous readers of Egypt.

In the late 1940s, Sheikh Mahmoud Ali al-Banna was appointed a reader from the Ain al-Hayat Mosque and the Imam al-Rafi Mosque in the late 1950s and moved to Tanta where he became a reader of the Ahmadi Mosque until 1980 when he began reading the Qur'an at the Imam Hussein Mosque.

In addition, Banna visited several Islamic countries and many countries in the world. Read and read the Koran in Mecca to the Holy Mosque and the Umayyad Mosque and a mosque in Berlin in 1978.

Sheikh al-Banna was among the activists to create the players' union and was elected vice president during its establishment in 1984.
Sheikh Mahmoud Ali al-Banna died away on 20 July 1985 and was buried in the mausoleum of a mosque in his village of Chopras.

In 1990, the Egyptian president gave his name to the price of arts and sciences.
