IBM Augmented Remote Assist uses the mobile device’s camera, as well as advanced computer vision techniques, to generate a 3D model of the hardware the field technician is supporting.

The app uses this 3D model to overlay 2D and 3D annotations on the hardware to provide users real-time, on the spot instructions from remote experts.
