TalkTalk Smart Home Protection is the combination of a security feature embedded on our router, an advanced security app and industry-leading cloud protection. Smart Home Protection easily secures every connected thing in your home using one device, now and in the future.

Per device control and protection: Smart Home Protection provides extra level of control on our customers home network allowing you to individually apply parental controls and content filtering on all connected devices.

The missing piece of your connected home.

Every new device in our home network is a potential back door into our digital lives, since most new connected things aren’t designed to be secure. Smart Home Protection protects everything connected in your home, from desktop computers and phones to smart TVs and baby monitors. Its IoT security technology senses traffic from connected devices to provide extra protection against IoT threats.

Requires a TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub router device.

Andoid 4.x is no longer supported by Google for security patches. While in turn this further emphasizes need for security that Smart Home Protection provides, it also makes fulfilling the security promise harder as the underlying OS is no longer updated. In the interest of end-users using Android 4.x TalkTalk feels obliged to inform the users of the Google lifecycle policy, strongly recommending upgrading their operating system / device to a supported version. In addition, Smart Home Protection is no longer available to be installed on Android 4.x.
